Benefits Summary

A good benefits package is an important part of an overall compensation package.  If you add up the value of those benefits, it's like having "an extra" paycheck each pay period.  The Kennedy Center, Inc. is committed to providing its employees with a benefits package that addresses the needs of today's employees.  Please note that this outline is not intended to be a contract in any way, and benefits are subject to change.

Medical and Dental Insurance:  Insurance is available to each Kennedy Center employee hired to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.  Coverage is also available for employee spouses or dependents.

Holidays:  The Kennedy Center observes 11 holidays throughout the year.  Additionally, most of the Agency closes for the week betweeen Christmas Day and New Years Day.

Vacation:  All full-time employees and regular part-time employees working at the Kennedy Center for at least 15 hours per week shall receive annual vacations with pay.  New full-time employees can earn up to 15 vacation days per year and new part-time employees can earn up to 10 vacation days per year.

Personal Days:  In addition to vacation time and holiday time, all full-time employees can earn up to 4 personal days per year.

Sick Leave:  Full-time employees of the Kennedy Center can earn up to 12 days of sick leave per year.  Part-time employees working at least 30 hours per week accrue 3 hours per month of sick leave.

Life Insurance:  The Kennedy Center provides a paid non-contributory life insurance policy for each full-time employee and each part-time employee working a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Pension Plan:  The Kennedy Center provides a pension plan at no cost to regular employees who have been employed for longer than one year.
